Encounter Church Retreat 2025
Encounter Church is gathering for a church-wide retreat on October 31–November 2, 2025 at Jackson’s Point Retreat and Conference Centre. It’s a weekend designed for the whole family — with dedicated children’s programs, worship sessions, and space to connect with one another and with God.
Why This Retreat Matters
Life moves quickly. We balance work, family, and countless responsibilities, often without pausing to truly listen for God’s leading. Even in our faith, it’s easy to settle into routine—yet this can quietly erode our spiritual hunger and leave us unprepared for what God wants to do in and through us.
If we’re not intentional, we risk pouring our time and energy into things that fade while missing out on the joy, peace, and purpose found in following Jesus wholeheartedly. Our lives are too precious to waste.

Biblical Teaching & Practical Sessions
Led by Rev. David Ryu, these four main sessions will provide inspiration and practical tools to live out your faith.
Children’s & Toddler Programs
Guided by Pastor Adonis Stella and our church staff, age-specific activities ensure a fun and meaningful experience for the little ones.
Youth Participation
Teens and youth are welcome to join the main sessions alongside adults, engaging in worship, learning, and discussion.
Comfortable Accommodations
Motel-style rooms with private washrooms; families of four are assigned two rooms, and limited suites are available for special needs.
Worship & Reflection Time
Unhurried moments for prayer, worship, and connecting with God and one another.

Where is the retreat?
The Salvation Army Retreat & Conference Centre, Jackson’s Point, ON. All rooms are motel-style with private washrooms.
What should I bring?
Bring personal care items, warm clothing, and anything you might want for worship, reflection, or outdoor activities. Specific packing details will be shared closer to the retreat.
How do meals work?
Meals are provided on-site. Dietary options can be accommodated — please indicate any special requirements when you fill out the registration form.
What about transportation or parking?
There is parking available at Jackson’s Point Retreat Centre. Details on carpools will be shared before the retreat.
Can I attend only part of the retreat?
Yes! While we encourage full attendance to experience all sessions and community time, Saturday-only options are available:
- Adult (13+) – $110, includes meals for Saturday + full Saturday program
- Child (7–12) – $60, includes meals for Saturday + full Saturday program
- Child (2–6) – Free, no additional cost
- Infant (<2) – Free, no additional cost
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate refunds or transfers depending on timing and costs.
Is financial aid available?
Yes! Financial aid can be requested via our Care Request Form linked at the bottom of our webpage.
